Practical accounting help for people who build, grow, and work

A Central Valley practice for owners who need hands-on help with the books — and the systems behind them.

Hands-on financial leadership, sized for small business

I work from the Central Valley — based in the Kerman / Fresno area — helping small businesses with the financial work that piles up when you are busy running the company.

My day job is hands-on financial leadership at a regional supply business doing about $25 million a year. That is not slide decks and theory. It is making sure bills get paid, money comes in, and budgets hold — week after week.

That same mindset is what I bring to clients: plain numbers, clear priorities, and tools that actually get used.

I am also technical by background. Before accounting, I worked as a network consultant for larger companies. Today that shows up as QuickBooks, Sage, Datatech, Zoho, and Google Workspace, plus automations, spreadsheets, and fixing the computer problems that get in the way of good financial work — including network and systems help when a business needs it.

I am not a big firm. I am one person who can sit with you on the books and the systems that support them.

What you can expect from me

  • Plain talk, not accounting buzzwords
  • Respect for your time
  • Work that fits a small business budget and schedule
  • A partner mindset — I am here to lighten your load, not judge how you got behind

Examples of work

Real projects for a Central Valley trucking company based in Lathrop, CA. Client names stay private — the problems are common across businesses that have outgrown manual spreadsheets.

Freight costing

Automated load profitability

Pulls California fuel prices from the EIA, imports last week’s invoicing, and calculates a weekly price per gallon — plus price per load and price per mile — so management can price hauls with margin in mind.

Collections

Weekly AR aging report

Automated email that exports aging from Sage, summarizes receivables, and compares this week to last week so leadership can see whether collections are improving — without manual exports every Monday.

Route profitability

Best vs. worst lanes

Automated management report that ranks lanes from best to worst performing so leadership can focus on profitable routes and fix or drop the ones that drain margin.
